ST. LAWRENCE EASTERN LAKE ONTARIO PARTNERSHIP FOR REGIONAL INVASIVE SPECIES MANAGEMENT
Black Pond WMA is a natural lakeshore barrier and wetland complex designated as a Bird Conservation Area. The complex spans 526 acres along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in Ellisburg, NY. Connected to the north shore of Black Pond is the El Dorado Beach Preserve, owned by The Nature Conservancy, the combined parcels make up a large natural shoreline that is considered to be a rare ecological community that provides significant habitat for coastal fish, and breeding and migrating birds (NYSDEC).
