Join WNY PRISM to learn about the new invasive pests and diseases that threaten WNY’s forests. Our speakers, Andrew Lance, WNY Land Conservancy and Emily Thiel, WNY PRISM, will discuss recent additions including hemlock woolly adelgid, beech leaf disease and jumping worms, as well as species that are threatening nearby regions such as oak wilt, sudden oak death and Asian longhorned beetle. You’ll also learn about what you can do to stop their spread and prevent their introduction.
