Attention Fishing Community

Help to Protect Our Waters

Aquatic invasive fish threaten the health of our waters. Learn about invasive fish that are of concern in the St. Lawrence River and Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

Learn how you can help by keeping an eye out for these fish and reporting your observations.

 

 Thursday, June 27th 10am-2:30pm at the Keewaydin State Park located at 46165 NYS Route 12 Alexandria Bay, NY 13607.

Topics at the 6/27 workshop in Alexandria Bay will include: EVENT FLIER

  • Tench—A new invasive fish threating the St. Lawrence River
  • Common misconceptions of snakehead & overview of Asian carp
  • Preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species
  • Help protect our waters: Strengthening Early Detection
  • Making observations using a mobile application- iMapInvasives
