Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Workshop & Survey

Volunteers take a closer look at hemlock twigs to search for signs of hemlock woolly adelgid.
Help Protect Whetstone Gulf State Park
An invasive insect called Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) kills hemlock trees.
Hemlocks are a key tree species and loss of hemlock populations would dramatically reduce the overall health of our forests and urban green spaces.
HWA currently isn’t known to be in the Eastern Lake Ontario/St. lawrence River region.
You can help us track the spread and absence of this invasive forest pest.
