Learn what SLELO partners are doing at Fort Drum to prevent and control invasive species:

Fort Drum has identified 21 invasive species of concern. Most occur directly on Fort Drum property, others are at risk of encroachment from surrounding areas. Major efforts have been placed on attempts to eradicate black swallow-wort on the installation. As of 2009, 6.12 acres of swallow-wort were mapped and all of it has been treated with herbicide at least once.
